    How wonderful, and healthy for adotped children is open adoption. Thanks for promoting and caring as much as you do about the same.

    Thanks for your kind words. I love my daughter and I only want the best for her, which is giving her as complete truth as possible. Her birth family didn’t vanish and to pretend that they did is only to confuse her. If we act like something is wrong with them, then she’ll think something is wrong with her.

    I was lucky to have several friends who were adoptees and told me that they would look in crowds and wonder if their birthparents were in there. I never wanted Hayley to do that. I want her heart as whole as possible.
